Mobile Optical Pluggables Alliance (MOPA) has released technical paper version 2.2. This version makes updates and additions to several areas: SFP112 formfactor is introduced into the requirements, the tight time synchronization work adds propagation delay measurement principles and optical pluggable EEPROM data maps to estimate propagation delay contributions, and finally an in-depth discussion on coherent lite for mobile networks. Moreover, new sections introduce discussions on several new topics: power savings and sleep modes, optical pluggable remote firmware updates and wavelength multiplexing filter solutions for flexible migrations See mopa-alliance.org
