Mobile Optical Pluggables Alliance (MOPA) is arranging a workshop Sunday September 28 at ECOC 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark: Workshop 15: Is hollow-core fiber ready for 6G? – Technologies and Standards. As the title indicates, leading mobile operators, RAN and optical vendors and academia will during the workshop’s 2.5 hours cover the evolution of optical solutions for 6G and the evolution of relevant hollow core fiber technologies. Based on this, the workshop will for the first time outline possible uses, new opportunities and new requirements for HCF in mobile networks. See Workshops – ECOC 2025
