Leading mobile operators join the newly formed Mobile Optical Pluggables Alliance (MOPA) Operator Advisory Board

The Mobile Optical Pluggables Alliance (MOPA) has formed an Operator Advisory Board. The founding board members are Orange, Verizon, NTT, Telia, Telefonica, T-Mobile, BT and SK Telecom. The board will propose new requirements and functionality for inclusion in the MOPA technical papers.

“We are very excited to form this board of leading mobile operator to make sure that the industry develops the best mobile optical solutions for 5G and future 6G,” says Stefan Dahlfort, Ericsson, MOPA Lead.

“MOPA is doing a great job of describing mobile optical solutions and we as mobile operators will input our new requirement and functionality proposals to secure the best possible mobile optical solutions,” says Philippe Chanclou, Orange, Chair of the MOPA Operator Advisory Board.
